A Nonexhaustive List of Things I Do in the Pool at the Gym (138 Words)

1. Hang off the side of the pool and pretend I’m a bat.

3. Float.

4. Duck, airplane, soldier. 

5. Sort out all of my problems. 

6. Invent new problems that need to be sorted out.

7. Breathe in, breathe out. 

8. Blow bubbles. 

9. Walk from one end of the pool to the other, listening to the sounds of the water. 

10. Watch the clock. 

11. Let time melt away. 

12. Flip around in circles and pretend I’m a dolphin 

13. Water yoga. Not sure if it’s a thing or if I made it up. 

14. Write poems and edit papers. 

15. Talk to myself. 

16. Talk to you. 

17. Wonder what went wrong. 

18. Let it go. 

19. Imagine a better world. 

20. Grieve the one we’re in.

21. Remember things. 

22. Forget things. 

23. Swim.
